“My husband and I were at your concert last night at the Park Theatre. As always you were unbelievable! I enjoyed the interactive and intimate atmosphere.  The first time I saw you, you were opening up for Matt Good. Last night (as you may have known), Matt Good was in town – and I had amazing seats! I found out that you were coming to Winnipeg, and sold my tickets so that I could see you. I’ve been waiting for you to come back for such a long time and just could not pass it up!! You did not disappoint! You are such a gracious and humble muscian, who truly loves to share his passion. I wish the whole world knew about you! Thank you for an excellent evening!

Good Evening to you Wil, and to your lovely wife as well.

I was with you both at Lydia’s last Friday, with my friends and my husband and all your amazing fans!
The whole evening was charged with this great energy from the very beginning, and I have to thank you for bringing all of us together with your talent and your eagerness to play for your fans.

I requested “Tight Fist”, and you were so gracious about playing it, and then you continued with” Help”….I almost asked for “spitfire” too, but I was feeling selfish at this point.

My family first discovered our love of your music when you came to open for Serena, and we were all just blown away by your ability to emote and reach us with your music.
Our son Jake is 15 and while he typically leans to instrumentals, jazz and classical music, he has several favorites on your album “by December”. Emily is our 13yrs old daughter who also has several of your songs on her ipod. We’ll all be buying  several copies of “In this together”, and our friends will too!

Please come back to Saskatoon frequently, Paul and I will be there.

Kindest Regards, your fans,

Paul, Kari, Jake & Emily

Wil,
Last night’s show was awesome. Thanks so much for coming to Lethbridge and playing in “the living room” at Henotic. This was the third time I’ve seen you. The other two times were in Edmonton, once opening for Colin James and the other at Starlite Room shortly after ‘By December’ was released. Thanks for playing all my favourite songs last night, it was hard not singing along to every one. When I got in the car on the drive home listening to your first CD, I was like oh man! I wish you could have played all night. Your songs always seem to generate the most intense feelings and that is awesome. I would really like to find the documentary you were featured in. If you have any hints on how it can be tracked down, that would be great. I am a cellist and I would love to collaborate on some stuff if you are ever up for it. Excellent work Wil, I look forward to the January release!!!

Hello there, a number of years ago when I patronized the Starlight in Waterloo Ontario, I was gobsmacked by a performer one evening.  It was an evening not unlike many in the haze of corporate freneticism in that high-tech epi-centre, and I sought solitude and anonymity in the slippery, sweaty pulsing crowd of my friend’s club.  When Wil performed that evening, it was evident that he oozed a preposterous talent.  And he did break a string. These intervening years since that evening,  I have traveled the world on my own pilgrimage, away form stuff, noise and people. Unplugged.

Well, how happy was my heart when recently as I listened to CBC Canadian Songwriters online Wil’s music is played.  And not just once in a while but often.

Ah.
