I say, Good Day!
"My husband and I were at your concert last night at the Park Theatre. As always you were unbelievable! I enjoyed the interactive and intimate atmosphere. The first time I saw you, you were opening up for Matt Good. Last night (as you may have known), Matt Good was in town - and I had amazing seats! I found out that you were coming to Winnipeg, and sold my tickets so that I could see you. I've been waiting for you to come back for such a long time and just could not pass it up!! You did not disappoint! You are such a gracious and humble muscian, who truly loves to share his passion. I wish the whole world knew about you! Thank you for an excellent evening!
Good Evening to you Wil, and to your lovely wife as well.
I was with you both at Lydia's last Friday, with my friends and my husband and all your amazing fans!
The whole evening was charged with this great energy from the very beginning, and I have to thank you for bringing all of us together with your talent and your eagerness to play for your fans.
I requested "Tight Fist", and you were so gracious about playing it, and then you continued with" Help"....I almost asked for "spitfire" too, but I was feeling selfish at this point.
My family first discovered our love of your music when you came to open for Serena, and we were all just blown away by your ability to emote and reach us with your music.
Our son Jake is 15 and while he typically leans to instrumentals, jazz and classical music, he has several favorites on your album "by December". Emily is our 13yrs old daughter who also has several of your songs on her ipod. We'll all be buying several copies of "In this together", and our friends will too!
Please come back to Saskatoon frequently, Paul and I will be there.
Kindest Regards, your fans,
Paul, Kari, Jake & Emily
Wil,
Last night’s show was awesome. Thanks so much for coming to Lethbridge and playing in “the living room” at Henotic. This was the third time I’ve seen you. The other two times were in Edmonton, once opening for Colin James and the other at Starlite Room shortly after ‘By December’ was released. Thanks for playing all my favourite songs last night, it was hard not singing along to every one. When I got in the car on the drive home listening to your first CD, I was like oh man! I wish you could have played all night. Your songs always seem to generate the most intense feelings and that is awesome. I would really like to find the documentary you were featured in. If you have any hints on how it can be tracked down, that would be great. I am a cellist and I would love to collaborate on some stuff if you are ever up for it. Excellent work Wil, I look forward to the January release!!!

Its great to see a performer pour his heart and sould into every performance, every chord for that matter. Your CDs have certainly become a staple in the music rotation. From all your fans in the praries PLEASE come back to Saskatchewan sometime soon, we miss you out here!
Regards and thanks for the great music,
Landon
Hello there, a number of years ago when I patronized the Starlight in Waterloo Ontario, I was gobsmacked by a performer one evening. It was an evening not unlike many in the haze of corporate freneticism in that high-tech epi-centre, and I sought solitude and anonymity in the slippery, sweaty pulsing crowd of my friend's club. When Wil performed that evening, it was evident that he oozed a preposterous talent. And he did break a string. These intervening years since that evening, I have traveled the world on my own pilgrimage, away form stuff, noise and people. Unplugged.
Well, how happy was my heart when recently as I listened to CBC Canadian Songwriters online Wil's music is played. And not just once in a while but often.
Ah.
Julie Anne
Hi Wil,
Didn't know who you were until we saw you last night at the Commodore - and yes.....you broke strings. We were right up front and you were awesome. I think I drank some of your sweat!

We love you Wil, and Jason's cute too!!
Keep on rockin in the free world

Just wanna say hi,
My wife and I just got home from seeing you tonight as you opened for Dave Cousins @ Hugh's Room.
We were both surprised by your performance and stage presence. Great original material, By December
awesome CD!
Your emotion and love for your craft is not only very noticeable in your voice and playing but performing
live your face and body language lend a whole other dimension. The passion you feel spreads as soon as
you begin moving on stage! Awesome performance and much too short! Given the circumstances though
as Richard said when he introduced you, we were lucky to have gotten to see you tonight and most
certainly look forward to seeing you back real soon...!
Anyways, GREAT show & CD! Keep it up!
Cya soon

Wil,
Your show in Thunder Bay was absolutely amazing! I would have gladly paid twice or triple the ticket price to see your show. Your music is true and comes from the heart, which is lacking so much today in music. I went home feeling great and feeling inspired. I look forward to the next time I’ll be close enough to see your show!
All the best,
Braden
H-O-L-Y-S-H-I-T!!! Dude. Thanks for the reference.
I checked him out and that man is FUCKED! He ripped up his guitar. Such a full sound from one dude.
Thanks man. The venue was super cool and the crowd was amazingly receptive. All-in-all, an awesome tip.
Thanks.
Thank you both for providing such a wonderful tribute to what music is supposed to be. Heart felt by both the performer and the audience. It felt like I transcended time and space to another galaxy...seriously though, absolutely brilliant.

Hi Wil,
My wife and I drove to Mount Forest to the Old Roxy Theatre last week to enjoy Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans but were equally amazed by your great lyrics and powerful driving music. What an amazing performance! I think I was the second to grab the “by December” CD. You cross generations with your music. My kids saw you in Brantford the night before and totally loved your music too!

Dear Wil
I went to the Feist Concert in Seattle last night and was curious to see who was opening for them. When I heard you preform, something inside of me changed. I realized that it was OK to be Indie, to not care what other people think, and that your music is beautiful. Thank you for that. iIhope to see you again in this lifetime. :)

Hi Wil,
I just want to let you know you have 2 new fans after your show on Nov. 5 at
Knox United Church in Calgary. I had heard of you from a freind but never made
it to see you perform. My wife and I enjoyed the show from the front row and
were both amazed at the intensity of your performance. I have been telling
everyone I know about the experience and the talented artist that you are. Hope
to see you soon again in Calgary but for now am enjoying all your CD/s that
were available at the show.
Hi Wil,
I attended your show last night at the Knox United Church in Calgary
and I thought that you were amazing. I loved your ability to play and
sing like the star you are. I hope for nothing but the best for you and
your family in your career. I am now a fan and I will be watching for
you the next time that you are playing in Calgary. Thank you
May 17, 2007 - London Music Club Ontario

New biggest fans

Wil,
I caught your show for the first time a couple of months back, on June 23rd at the Grand Theatre in Calgary, and I was blown away by the raw energy of your playing, and the power and vividness of your words! I don’t recall a time in my life, ever, that I’ve gone to see an artist that was so effortlessly able to take an audience on such a great journey, and to really tell a story, with only his music as the tour guide. My sister brought me to the show, and although I hadn’t heard any of your music before that day, I enjoyed every last song you played that night, and bought the 2 albums you had available at the show immediately afterward. I just found a copy of Both Hands yesterday, and have listened to it several times now, and you just continue to impress. I hope a new tour is announced soon, with a couple of stops in Calgary, because I’m truly looking forward to hearing you play live again in the near future. The Grand Theatre is an acoustically sound place, so a singer cannot get away with faking it there, and both you and Leeroy Stagger are absolutely the real deal. I’m a new fan for life. Cheers.

Hi Wil,
I attended the Rock Island festivities in Fort McMurray last night (July 27th 2007), and was introduced to your music for the first time. I was enthralled by your melodic riffs accompanied by your thoughtful lyrics. I just wanted to let you know your preformance was the highlight of my night. I bought your CD By December, and it is not very often I can say this, but I love every song on it. Thank you for coming to Fort McMurray and giving me a new favorite musical artist. Hope you come around again. Sincerely, Lisa Vickers
Hey Wil,
My friends brought me out to Jazz Fest in Winnipeg last Friday night, promising me a great show by some guy named Wil. I showed up, sat on the grass, and by the time the first song had finished, I was pointing and saying "I like this guy, for real." By the 7th song, I had your CD in my hand, and by Honey Pie, I was bouncing and swaying and yee-haw-ing. Thanks for the WICKED show, thanks for coming to Winnipeg, and congrats on the great music. Your stage show is awesome - I couldn't stop smiling! Keep it up and come back soon!

Hullo!
My friends dragged my wife and me to your concert at the Grand Theatre
in Calgary on June 23, 2007. Both of us went from not having a clue
who you were to wanting as much of your music as we could get our
hands on, all in the course of a few hours. The performance was
amazing. All the people there were hanging on every note for the
entire evening. Now I've bought your CD. Hope to see you live again
before too long, which'll probably be next time you're in Edmonton.
All the best!
Yrs,
-Ian
Dear Wil, Yesterday (May 26th/07) while accompanying our husbands on their annual golf trip, my girlfriends and I sat down in the centre court of the Blue Mountain village to listen to the next live band. I was totally captivated by your style, voice and songs. Your talent as a song writer, singer and guitar player is amazing, where have you be hiding. I said to my friend, why have we not heard of him or seen him, you should be at a venue where people pay to see you. Needless to say I bought your cd and you signed it for me. I listened to it twice on the car ride home. I hope you come to play in the Burlington area soon, as I would love to attend another one of your live shows! You have a bright future Wil. All the best
Julie
"Hi! I'm here in Vancouver for the first time and took a chance with some new people and tagged along to your show at Grouse Mountain this weekend. I wasn't familiar with your music and I wanted to write to say I was blown away - you are amazing!! Your guitar playing was mesmorizing, especially with the slide. I hope I can catch you in Toronto sometime soon, where I'm from. Thanks for a great night!!"
"OUTSTANDING! My wife and I saw you at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium on Canada Day and were totally blown away by your performance. We are looking for your CD and are planning on catching you again at Klondike Days. Really, truly amazing to behold."
"Just a quick note to see if you
could pass on a big 'Atta Boy!' to Wil for his amazing set at the Canada
Day Centennial Jam. Personally I enjoyed his set more than Randy Bachman's
and I know everybody in the 96X section was impressed with him too.
Thanks for a great show!"
"Salutations Wil,
My wife and I first learned about your existence at the Bluebird North
Tour/ West End Cultural Center in Winnipeg last spring. We have three
words to sum up your performance there: Wow, just WOW!
You were the highlight of the show for us... and that is saying a lot,
as Shari Ulrich, Tom Wilson, Jimmy Rankin and Divine Brown were
absolutely spectacular. What an unexpected and glorious treat is was to
hear you for the first time. You are a tremendous talent, refreshingly
different and your stage presence grabs every single member of the
audience and brings them into your amazing world."
Dear Wil and Pat
I just had to send you a quick e-mail before I head off to SXSW to let you know how FANTASTIC the show was on Saturday night at the Horseshoe. It really made my week, my month, my year!! And was definitely the best music performance of CMW.
I feel like I have been in a musical rut lately and that show has renewed my interest in music. I can't wait until May 22 to hear the new album and I'm so happy that it will finally be released…..
Anyway….THANK YOU for the great music and the inspiration. I look forward to seeing you in Toronto again soon. Have fun with my SOTW pals this weekend at the Commodore.
Take care,
